SOLAND ANGEL is a duo from Basel (CH), consisting of Marianna Angel and Yanik Soland.

Their collaboration began in 2019 at a concert in Rotterdam, where they explored their first improvisational approaches. Since then, they have performed in museums, art spaces, and clubs, such as the Kunsthalle Basel, the Centre Culturel Suisse in Paris, and the Anton Janizewski Gallery in Berlin. The duo's musical interests lie in blending different genres and attitudes. They draw inspiration from contemporary pop music, free improvisation techniques, and harmonies from early 20th-century classical music. In addition to their work as performers, they also compose for theater, ensembles, and moving images. In 2022, they received a grant for improvisation from kulturelles.bl, and in 2024, a six-month studio residency from Atelier Mondial at the Cité des Arts in Paris.

At the end of 2024, their program "Rotten Flowers, Shiny Shoes" was released digitally and as a limited artist edition by Sais Records (Basel).
